Makoto Fujimura
A leading contemporary artist, Makoto Fujimura is also a recognized cultural influencer. He is the founder of the International Arts Movement (IAM) and is the Founder of Culture Care Creative Inc., which includes Kintsugi Academy. His process driven, refractive “slow art” has appeared in galleries, museums, and collections around the world, including The Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, the Tikotin Museum in Israel, and the Waterfall Mansion Gallery in New York. From 2003-2009 Fujimura was a Presidential appointee to the National Council on the Arts, and the American Academy of Religion’s 2014 “Religion and the Arts” award recipient, and served from 2015 to 2019 as Director of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts at Fuller Seminary.
