“Womanist Spirituality in Literature: A Discussion of Alice Walker's Short Stories, In Love & Trouble”
Scholars have seen womanist thought extend epistemologically in a myriad of disciplines from religion and music to psychology. This discussion returns womanist discourse to literary theory, exploring Alice Walker's writing of short stories in her 1973 collection, In Love and Trouble. As scholars and readers of literature and religion, we will flesh out the intricacies of Walker's writing, as she takes us on a rich sojourn encompassing literature and spirituality.
